June 2019 Begins

Sorry today's post is kinda late.

Quick note: Ava doesn't feature in any of the June 2019 comics. Well, a couple. I was trying to remove her from the strip through the summer vacation so I could recenter the strip around Anne. Ava returned in. . . I forget whether it was August or September. Either way, it was probably going to happen my motives notwithstanding. . . I mean, is Ava going to head back to the Death Star III with Anne over the summer?

Here's how Anne kicked off her summer. And no, I don't have a clue what she actually did.



Teenage logic. I say this all the time.

Granted, I'm usually not in traction when I say it.

Then, in lieu of a miserable camping trip, Anne got lost in her own home:

Then she got philosophical about it all. . .



Fitting she should mention Calvin and Hobbes - it's her parent strip. I was reading a lot of both Dilbert and Calvin and I noticed they both had similar jokes about lemons. Seems everyone does at least one joke about that saying.

The Calvin comic can be found in numerous places if you google it. Apparently it's a common meme? I couldn't find a Calvin and Hobbes official website, so I couldn't link that.

After this little bit of philosophy, Anne practiced her Sith skills by Forceleaping herself into the ceiling.

Overly Realistic Dad Jokes

 Again. . . sorry about missing days. If anyone's even reading this. (Anyone who is, please signal as such in the comments section. . . I don't expect to see any such signals for another couple of decades.) The prerequisite moping out of the way, let's get to the funny stuff. "But it's like Potions! No, it's worse than Potions!" "Good, good. . . let your hate fuel you." In cold or damp weather, Anne has bones that still won't let her forget it.

Introducing Rachel! And Other Comics

This is the first appearance of Rachel Bucket (no, I'm not kidding) in TSA. She was my attempt to write a Christian character, although she was originally from a failed post apocalyptic (also not kidding). It never even got a word written down, and that was mostly what channeled into her character as a TSA cast member. The original line was, "NEVER say that to a Christian!!!" Like Ava's intro comic, it's a religious gag and I wrote a second (third?) copy because I crammed a ton of words into the third panel and then doubted they were legible. Here it is. . . Can you read that one better? I hope so. It's about like any other comic I drew after I got bigger panels. (Thank goodness. I can't write that tiny anymore.) Unlike Ava's intro, this is something I do. Not in front of other people, but, if you are for some reason  into reading books of conspiracy theories about how the world is going to end next Wednesday, it is really good for you
