Birthday Anticipation

WOAH, those are big. But easy to read, am I right?  Also, not something you ever thought you'd say, Ava, am I right? Reminds me a bit of reading through the lyrics of "Praise to the Man" and wondering if Joseph Smith ever had any idea he'd still be remembered by virtually everyone two hundred years after his time.  . . and almost immediately coming to the conclusion that no, he most likely did not. The difference being that that was about a serious topic and Ava and Anne's "friendly enemies" relationship that has led to major property damage on Rachel's part is not. (Lucky Rachel. Both sarcastically speaking and nonsarcastically speaking. I mean, too bad about the utilities room, but at least she can rebuild it without any trouble.)

ALWAYS Read the Safety Regulations (CORRECTLY!)

Welcome back. I'm not even sure what they were trying to do - I presume they were reading Randall Munroe books and accidentally skipped over the "the author of this book likes it when things catch fire or explode, so he does not have your best interests at heart" bit.  At least until Esther was halfway to the moon. Or maybe, given Sith relationships, that wasn't a mistake. Think what you like. Amazon link to the book this was inspired by: How To by Randall Munroe

What Even IS That?

. . . you'll see the reason for that title in a moment. . . By the way - first time in about a week I've gotten two comics up every other day rather than every third or fourth day. Yay. We begin with our young antihero walking down a hall. . . As suggested by the title, I'm not sure what that is. Inspired by a Get Fuzzy comic, the punchline of which was Rob staring meaningfully at Bucky and saying, "The only 'good' thing about living in this house is that you never have to ask who, only when."

Overly Realistic Dad Jokes

Again. . . sorry about missing days. If anyone's even reading this. (Anyone who is, please signal as such in the comments section. . . I don't expect to see any such signals for another couple of decades.) The prerequisite moping out of the way, let's get to the funny stuff. "But it's like Potions! No, it's worse than Potions!" "Good, good. . . let your hate fuel you." In cold or damp weather, Anne has bones that still won't let her forget it.

FLIGHT CLASS IS BACK!!

Sorry I missed Wednesday. . . if anyone at all is reading this. (About which I am pessimistic.)   I wanted to edit that last line to "Then excuse me while I go make myself so," but I ran out of time. Have a good weekend!

Anne's Children's Future. . . does she really want to know?

Image
I'm not sure what the other two are. Later, maybe. . . oh, yeah. In Anne's specific case: You DON'T want to know how it works out between Anne and Ava. Maybe I'll find out the third one someday. (You don't want to know how the world ends?) Or: What if you look into the future and you find out that your child dies at a very young age, or that your kid grows up to be a horrible person? Who really needs THAT information?  (In Anne's case - one of her children does grow up to be  a devout Christian interested in counterterrorism. So yeah - Anne doesn't want to know.)

A Lifetime

I mean, she'll be living with you after graduation, Anne! It's not like the Skywalkers feel like putting up with her now that she's converted to Sithhood. . .

One Ring to Rule Them All

Anyone else notice how Anne gets more exuberant about this with each comic? Still can't draw my characters close enough together to hold hands without having their heads overlap. Sigh. This one was born of my own random fantasies. By the way, if anyone is reading this who does not happen to be blood kin and would be interested in playing D&D 4e, I'm definitely interested as well. I have eight characters stacked up that I need to use.

Hi all! Sorry I'm late. I really did mean what I said last time about posting regularly from now on. I lost track of time on Thursday and as a result didn't get Friday's up. So, welcome to February 2021, where Kylo Ren's disastrous proposal to Anne Palpatine continues. It's a reworking of the old Venus flytrap gag, where Kylo handed Anne some Venus flytraps and told her that they reminded him of her, and she said, "Aw, that's so sweet!" Then Kylo added, "That was meant as a gag gift, by the way." The Lord of the Rings bit comes in tomorrow. I promise.
